Welcome to the Alino Farm!

In the first year of our marriage, we set out on an ambitious journey: grow a garden, raise chickens, and make as much as we can from scratch. With Ben serving in the military and the possibility of frequent moves, it might seem crazy and unrealistic—but we thought, “Why not give it a try?” After all, the worst that could happen is failure, and we wouldn’t know if we could succeed unless we made the attempt.

Along the way, we decided to document everything—our successes and mistakes—hoping to learn from them and help others avoid the same pitfalls. That’s how this website came to life. If we can share what works and what doesn’t to support others on similar paths, we consider that a win

It hasn’t been all smooth sailing! My once-green Floridian thumb turned a shade of Texas brown, we lost a chicken early on, and yes, I’ve burned dinner more times than I’d like to admit. But we’re learning and loving every part of this adventure.
